Boomer - When I first met Cutler I thought he was a jerk. Plain and simple, but if he let's you into his world he really opens up and is a great guy.

He knows how important this is. He just would rather let his play do the talking. I always tell people you want the guy the be a great QB not your best friend. This does not just happen with Jay.

Example, Eli Manning who I don't know at all, was here in Nashville at a local bowling ally. He was with his girlfriend or wife who is from here. Well, some kids came up to Eli and and asked if it was him and Eli just shrugged his shoulders and walked away.

I was talking with Frank Wycheck about this and Frank said almost the same thing you said in your post; If Eli had said yes, he would be signing autographs all night. Jay lives here in Nashville in the off season, part of it is he is real close with the coaches at Vandy and also people don't bother him. People are different in Nashville. We see stars all the time. We just do our best to ignore them. I was at a country bar drinking a beer and Albert Haynesworth was right beside me shooting pool. I asked are you Albert? He just said "yeah" with a snarl. I was thinking it's cool. I will not bother you.

Boomer I have no idea what it is like to be a star. I know that you can't trust people and it is hard to find a genuine friend or person you can trust. I hate hearing the negative remarks on Cutler but I guess that comes with the job.

Take care

I work at Vandy and know Jay well. He is really a great kid. He is just kinda shy. Once you get to know him he really opens up. Here is the problem, it is overwhelming for Jay right now. Everyone wants a peice of him. Jay would rather let his play do the talking. Give him time. I am sorry he passed you by.

I'm with you, Boom! Stay out of jail, don't shoot yourself in the leg, and don't start a dog fighting ring! Just throw TD's, limit INT's, and win football games, and I'm happy, pappy! Although, if he would just fake it, he would own this town. Look what fakin' it did for Sammy!
