Camp Cutler opened on Friday. Here’s what the man of the hour had to say in this video clip from the Bears website…
Let me try to read between the lines and interpret some of Jay’s comments:
Everyone’s a little rusty… = these receivers aren’t that good…
Guys were in the right spots… = at least Devin Hester and Earl Bennet know the plays…
We’re gettin’ there… = these receivers aren’t that good…
Everyone was out here 30 minutes early… = We need the practice…
It’s been a long offseason for us.. = It’s been a long offseason for me…
I kid. I kid. As Wannie [...]

President Obama just hosted the now famous Beer Summit at the White House, where he invited African American Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates and Sergeant Crowley, the two guys at the heart of a controversial misunderstanding, to the White House to hash out their differences over a couple of beers. Crowley arrested Gates for disorderly conduct on July 16 after a confrontation at the professor’s home, sparking a media frenzy as Gates accused the policeman of racial profiling. The Prez was upbeat about how things went.
“I am confident that has happened here tonight, and I am hopeful that all of [...]

Some are calling it Camp Cutler, but the way things have started off, I think it might be better to call it Jays of Our Lives. The Brian Urlacher-Jay Cutler show, with special guest Bobby Wade moved to Bourbonnais on Thursday, as training camp opens on Friday.
Urlacher addressed the media and brushed off the latest Cutler controversy.
“[Cutler] called me and I said, ‘What’s up pussy, what are you doing?’ ” a smiling Urlacher said Thursday after reporting to Olivet Nazarene University for training camp. “It’s so dumb to me that this even got to this point.”
That Brian’s got a way [...]

With training camp set to open this week, it means that Fantasy Football is right around the corner. Most seasons, the Chicago Bears were a Fantasy Football afterthought aside from maybe the Defense and Special Teams. That will not be the case in 2009. In this series, we’ll take a look at the Bears you should target for your fantasy football squad.

Sports talk radio and the web were ablaze on Wednesday afternoon after former Bears and now Vikings receiver Bobby Wade broke the age-old rule of “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas” as he provided insight into what Brian Urlacher thinks of Jay Cutler on KFAN earlier in the day. According to the Tribune Urlacher had this to say in response:
“Oh please. I don’t think I would ever say that about one of my teammates,” Urlacher told the Tribune. “Look, Bobby Wade’s a friend of mine. He’s trying to get things going before training camp. That’s just Bobby being Bobby. [...]

UPDATED – Here is a clip of Bobby Wade on KFAN. I listened to the entire podcast so you don’t have to.
Apparently now that the Brett Favre ship has sailed on the Minnesota Vikings, they have nothing better to do than stir stuff up for other teams. Vikings (and former Chicago Bears) wide receiver Bobby Wade took to the airwaves this morning and made some waves.
“Jay Cutleris a good player,” Wade said. “Obviously, it’s a much different [...]

“Jay Cutleris a good player,” Wade said. “Obviously, it’s a much different environment from going from Denver to play in Chicago. Chicago is a tough club to play for. What is so funny, I [...]

Devin Hester
Hester came a long way in 2008, his first full year as a wide receiver. Remember when Moose Muhammed had to help Devin line up in 2007??? I tried to block it out too. Can you think of [...]
