NFL Players Who are Big Breast Supporters

AUTHOR: Boomer | IN: Bears, Off-Topic/Other | COMMENTS: None Yet

Happy October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  I think it’s also Motorboating Safety Month, but that’s another topic entirely.  The NFL is doing it’s part with its annual initiative, called “A Crucial Catch: Annual Screening Saves Lives.”
I am a big supporter of the breasts and am happy to spread the word.  A few of the Bears will be doing their part to support the program by wearing pink accessories in this Sunday’s game against the Lions.  That’s great, but for many NFL players, supporting breasts is a year-round activity, not a one-game effort.  Check out these top supporters:

Bears Thinking Pink to Raise Breast Cancer Awareness

AUTHOR: Boomer | IN: Bears | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Bears started preparations for the Detriot Lions on Wednesday and like the Seahawks game , it seems like fashion is coming to the forefront.  As Brad Biggs notes in his blog, a few of the Bears will be sporting pink in support of the NFL’s “A Crucial Catch: Annual Screening Saves Lives” breast cancer awareness campaign.

All Greg Olsen had to do was ask Jay Cutler to come in style for Sunday’s game against the Lions, and the quarterback agreed.
Olsen’s mother Sue Olsen was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 and is a survivor.

Seahawks Secret Weapon for Bears? New Jerseys

AUTHOR: Boomer | IN: Bears | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Do not adjust your televisions on Sunday.  The Seattle Seahawks will pull out all of the stops in an effort to blind the Bears or induce spontaneous vommitting along the visitors’ sideline as they will debut their new Lime Green alternate jerseys.  Check it out:
Yikes!  I think I’ll need to bust out my sunglasses – or at least my Bear Goggles –  to watch this game.
All the Bears need to do to counter with their tribute to the Great Pumpkin – their alternate orange jerseys to have the All-Ugly Jersey Bowl.
While they will not be sporting the Orange on Sunday, [...]

Bart’s Best – Week 3 Top Plays

AUTHOR: DeCon | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

Ouch!  That’s all I can say after my disappointing 1-3 in my picks last week.  It was ironic that in my first week I was 3-0 in non-Bears games and I lost the Bears game.  This week, I was 0-3 in non-Bears games, but I picked up a win with the Bears upset.  Right now, I’m down juice, but I knew last week was going to be tough.  I did have a vibe that last week was going to be a strange one, I just couldn’t pull the trigger on actually picking all of those upsets.  What on earth happened [...]

The DeCon’s Week 3 Fantasy Football Picks

AUTHOR: DeCon | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: None Yet

What a week for the Beloved and a great bounce back game for Jay Cutler against the defending champ Pittsburgh Steelers.  I hope my DeCon’s Blessing about JC from my Week 2 picks worked out for you.  JC didn’t have a great game, but he did what he was brought in to do…take the last possession with an opportunity to win the game and WIN THE GAME!!!  That’s all I need from #6 and I think we will have a great season if he has the ball late.
Week 3 takes the Beloved to Seattle and also marks the site of the [...]

Bears Headed to Seattle and so am I

AUTHOR: Boomer | IN: Uncategorized | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

The Bears are headed to Seattle to square off with the Seahawks this weekend and so am I.  It’s my annual “Bears Trip” that my friends and I have been going on for about the last 14 years.  I’ll be tweeting and trying to post when I’m coherent enough to operate a computer, but if the coverage this weekend is a little lacking, at least you know why.

Bears Beat Champs, send Steelers home 17-14 losers!

AUTHOR: Boomer | IN: Bears, Gameday | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

It was a soggy, sloppy home opener for the Chicago Bears, but that just accounts for the field conditions.  The outcome, however, was bright and sunny as the Bears sent their fans home happy with a 17-14 win against the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers.
Despite the loss of the heart and soul of their defense Brian Urlacher, the Bears held the Steelers to 14 points and pulled off an improbable win.  Week 1 scapegoat Jay Cutler shined in the fourth quarter, leading the Bears to the win behind 10 unanswered points.  If you missed the game, you can check out [...]
