Young Viking Fans Kick Jay Cutler
Viking fans learn how to abuse Jay Cutler at a young age before the Bears Vikings game on Sunday. This was nothing compared to the beating the Bears took once everyone got inside. Funny how all these kids have Favre jerseys on. What is it they say about “from the mouths of babes?” BEAR DOWN!!!
Viking Funeral: Minnesota sinks Bears
In Norse tradition, they would put their dead leaders in a ship and send it out to sea ablaze. The Vikings gave the Bears a Viking funeral in the Metrodome or the Mall of America Field or whatever the hell they call that house of horrors, trouncing the Bears 36-10 in a beating that was far worse than the score indicated. This was another historic loss that cannot be described as anything less than a complete abomination. Brett Favre marched the Vikings through the Bears defense more easily than the Nazis rolled through Poland. Actually, that’s an insult to Poland, [...]
Bears vs Vikings – Keys to the Game
I’ve been enjoying the Thanksgiving weekend until today. Today, I might puke up all the turkey I’ve been packing away the last few days. It’s back to business today as the Bears head to Minnesota to face the 9-1 Vikings. Buckle those chin straps extra tight Bears, this one ain’t gonna be pretty. I don’t see many ways for the Bears to beat the Vikes – too many weapons on offense and a dangerous defense. Check out my Game Day live blog and my prop bets for today’s game here. But just like when Rocky faced Drago in Rocky IV, [...]
Bart’s Best – Week 12 Top Plays
Next week, I’m heading to Las Vegas, so I’ll be posting Bart’s Best from the City of Sin. Going into this week, I’m 22-22. If that streak continues, I’ll be handing Vegas 10% of whatever I bet, so I need to make sure that I tip the scales in the win column. Chances are that I will because most games I lose are the Bears and I think I’m done making that mistake. However, the Bears are playing the Rams next week -so I may be a little tempted. Speaking of the Bears, I was at the game [...]
Know Your Enemy – Jared Allen, his Mullet and Jay Cutler
The Bears face the Vikings on Sunday. Jared Allen has been a one-man wrecking crew this season, tallying 10.5 sacks for the Vikes. Just what kind of a guy is Allen? Check out this clip from YouTube to get an idea: And in case you thought it was going to be an easy day for Jay Cutler, check out what Allen had to say on hearing the news that he’d get to face his old rival from their days in the AFC West twice a year in this little clip: H/T to The Viking Age for the clip. It’s gonna [...]
The DeCon’s Week 12 Fantasy Football Plays
I know I mentioned I HATE Thursday football games, but this is the one week, I LOVE them…how can you go wrong, family (sans inlaws for some of you I’m sure), football and all the food you can stuff into your pieholes!!! I love turkey, but only the white meat. I can’t stand dark meat, so I am going to put a Thanksgiving theme on my picks this week. You should have plenty of players playing tomorrow as some good teams are playing some bad teams, so I wanted to make sure I got this out. White Meat Plays (guys [...]
Cowher “excited” by Bears job
Have you ever been in a bar and immediately noticed that special someone across the bar, that ideal fantasy girl that makes your jeans a little tight? But just as you’re working up the nerve to approach her while unraveling a sordid fantasy suitable only for a Penthouse letter in your mind, some douche bag approaches your fantasy girl and starts talking her up. A few cheesy lines and several drinks later, your dream girl is rolling off with Captain D-bag and you’re rolling home with nothing but a a feeling of regret and wondering “what if?” If you get [...]
Bears Fall to Eagles 24-20
The Bears dropped another tough game, falling short 24-20 to the Eagles. Unless they win out, it looks like the only way the Bears will be going to Miami this season is if they buy a ticket! It looked like things would get out of hand early as the Eagles drove down on their first 2 drives to open up a 10-0 lead. The defense settled down and keep the Bears close. Rookie Kahlil Bell came off the practice squad to fill Garrett Wolfe’s spot and he did so in a big way, tearing off a 72 yard run on [...]
