Jon - great comment. Like I said, you can't argue with what he's saying. There is a MAJOR organizational problem here and it starts at the top. My point in commenting is that Dr. Grossman should be worried about what's going on with the Houston Texans.

[...] 4. Bears Fans Would Like to Thank Dan Grossman for Reminding Them That His Son Exists. Bears fans have moved on from the Rex Grossman era and, in Jay Cutler, discovered a new quarterback to blame all their problems on. Rex Grossman’s father Dan has, however, not moved on. He is still stewing over his beloved progeny being relentlessly hammered for years despite leading the team to 50% of its all-time Super Bowl appearances. Because Dan is a clever, well-educated individual, he disguises his defense of his son as a defense of Cutler.
quote: He goes on to rip the Bears philosophy and how they built their team...Jealous much? How about bitter? Sounds a lot like sour grapes to me.

But in what way is he wrong? You add that "It's tough to argue with what he says." He describes the Bears to the T. It seems to me that you're more offended that he said anything at all, regardless of whether it's correct or not. I don't know where you have been these past years, but what he says is true. The Bears have an organizational problem that they're not willing to admit to or seemingly fix anytime soon.

Now, the same thing that happened to Grossman is happening to Cutler. They bring him in expecting him to be the end-all to their problems, not realizing that they have even more pressing needs elsewhere. Thanks to a mediocre OL, Cutler is getting beat up, just like Grossman was. Then, thanks to mediocre receivers and a D that's far from being anywhere close to where it should be, Cutler gets ripped for being a terrible QB.

What's funny is that I would put money on the idea that if you stuck Brady, Manning (either one), Brees, McNabb, Roethlisberger, Palmer, Favre, or any other top-tier QB of late, they would get shredded just like Cutler is right now. No one can win with what the Bears have in place right now. And no one will unless they do something about themselves, from top to bottom.
