The Mike Martz PR Campaign – Bear Dawn (2/10)
After the Bears decided that a press release late on a Friday was a solid move, they’ve apparently sent Martz to meet the people. By my count, Martz has talked to Waddle & Silvy from ESPN 1000 on Monday, Mully and Hanley from 670 The Score this morning, and now a Q&A with the spinmaster himself. The Mike Martz PR campaign is on, kids. Don’t be too swayed. ChicagoNow If filmmakers directed the Super Bowl, it’d look like this. First and foremost, congratulations to the Saints and the city of New Orleans on a great win in a memorable Super Bowl XLIV. Part of the whole Super Bowl hoopla are all the commercials and of course, as a die-hard Bears fan I wanted to see the Super Bowl Shuffle remake commercial by Boost Mobile. The 30 second spot that aired did not do justice to the full video that I uploaded from Boost Mobile’s website. Check it the commercial and then the full video after the jump: Boost Mobile Commercial
Devin Hester Needs To Focus – Bear Dawn (2/6)
Bob LeGere took a nice (and rightful) swipe at Devin Hester. One of the best parts? The problem, Devin, is that the Bears are paying you like a full-time receiver, and a very good full-time receiver, not a kick returner who plays a little wideout. Hester’s already been paid $15 million in guaranteed money from his 2008 contract extension in addition to a $5 million roster bonus last season. So, if Hester really wants to help the Bears, he should focus on continuing to improve as a receiver, where there’s still lots of room for improvement after a decent 54-catch, 682-yard [...]

Bill Cowher for 2011 – Bear Dawn (2/2)
Mike Martz was hired. I still feel as though it was all a show; the press conference? A joke. The three-week coaching search? A joke. I just hope Jay Cutler can make it through the 2010 season in one piece. ChicagoBears.com Count Kevin Jones among those who are thrilled that Martz is a Bear. Colts secondary coach Alan Williams discussed the possibility of working with the Bears.
Along with twelve other players, Hunter Hillenmeyer has agreed to donate his brain and spical cord to further research on concussions in football. Count me among those who believes this is a good thing. The only sad thing about this story is that it’ll take until these players die to further and solidify preventative measures.
