After seeing the schedule come out, I predict another 7-9 season, which will be more painful than usual because they can go into the last 4 games at 6-6 (maybe even 7-5) and easily lose 3 or all of their last 4 games.

I think the Giants will be down this year and should fall behind NE...their D is in disarray and I think JC and the boys should be able to score against them. Of course, if it is a primetime, night game then all bets are off.

I am gonna hold out hope for 9 wins, which for me is down from my normal 11-12 wins I pencil in, so if I am not feeling it this year then...

City,

I don't think Martz or his system will hold the Bears back - it will be the lack of an offensive line, top flight #1 receiver, a proven free safety and any depth along their defensive line that will. I struggled to get them to 0.500 looking at the teams they play. Even the weaker teams they play (Buffalo and Carolina) are road games, which makes them tougher. I always try to be optimistic, but I think it's going to be a long season.

Almost 50% of your respondents think the Bears will win 9+ games. Half think they will be .500 or worse. Does that match Chicago thinking or what!!! Glass is half full and half empty!

Personally, I really struggle to believe that a team with a new offensive coordinator can come out of the gates scoring. Boomer, have you seen any stats on that? I think the defense keeps them close in most games, but I would be surprised if they win 8.

But, to be clear, I sincerely hope I'm wrong.
