Sorry I haven't been around today to respond to the great comments. It was an odd day at Halas Hall, but sadly, that's par for the course. Another D-linemen and a QB without making a serious push for O-line help really just boggle my mind. I hope they make a run at Faneca or another vet linemen in the free agent market that is about to open up in the coming weeks.

I've heard Melton ain't gonna cut it and Izzy is going to be moving back inside so I guess I can understand this pick in the 4th. But a QB in the 6th Round? Please don't give me the "value pick" speech here.

By not getting OL help, maybe they figure they are going to need another QB because JC will be in a wheelchair by the time he is 30!

Angelo - go get the just-released Alan Faneca! He may not be the player he once was but he is better than anyone on that OL except for Olin!

Hey Boomer!

This is an odd pick... As an alum, I'm a huge fan of both Northwestern football and Corey Wooten. Corey has excellent character, and is a solid football player. During the Iowa game this year, you could see him finally turn it up a notch in terms of explosiveness and physicality. So, I think his knee is fine, but...

To your point, if we just let two DE's go, because we were comfortable with Idonije and Anderson, why wouldn't we use our 2nd draft pick on a bigger need, like O-Line? This is a head-scratcher.

Didn't you say in a previous post that Angelo would draft a defensive lineman... lmao!
