I guess it’s only fitting that with all of the talk about the Patriots need for a tight end and the Bears trying to move Greg Olsen to get into the 2nd round that that Pats would select a tight end in the second round.  The cherry on top?  New England traded up into the spot that would have belonged to the Bears had they not made the Gaines Adams trade. As I just pointed out last night in my Fearless Prediction, Jerry Angelo will get an itch.  Brad Biggs suggests how he may attempt to scratch it -  that the Bears could trade out of a position of  strength to try to move up in the draft.  Unlike many reports about trading Greg Olsen, this speculation is around the other side of the ball. The Green Bay Packers selected Chicago kid Bryan Bulaga with the 23rd pick in the NFL Draft.  The 6’5″ 315 lb. Bulaga hails from Crystal Lake, IL where he attended Marian Central Catholic High in Woodstock, IL before going on to star at Iowa. Growing up in Chicago, this has got to be his worst nightmare.   We wish him well, except when he plays his hometown team.

The Broncos have had a busy draft night and we’re barely halfway through the first round.  They took the #11 pick that belonged to the Bears and traded down two spots with San Francisco, who took OT Anthony Davis.  When they came up again at #13, they traded again, this time with the Eagles.   Here’s the breakdown from Yahoo Sports: The Broncos owned the 11th pick to start the draft and swapped it with San Francisco for the Niners’ No. 13 overall selection.
