The Bears did some last minute PR work on their way to Bourbonnais. Check out this clip of some big name stars including Brian Urlacher, Jay Cutler, Greg Olsen and Matt Forte crashing a youth league football practice:

It’s quite a difference from a year ago when Urlacher and Cutler were embroiled in Pussygate 2009. Seeing the expression on the kids’ faces is priceless!

Urlacher Thinks Bears are Headed to Super Bowl

Urlacher has visions of another Halas Trophy and trip to the Super Bowl in 2010.

The Chicago Tribune’s Vaughn McClure had a little chat with Bears middle linebacker Brian Urlacher as he and his teammates prepare to officially kick off training camp. Urlacher touched on a wide variety of topics, but a couple of his quotes jumped off the screen:

On the favorites to get to the Super Bowl: “I’ve got to say us. In the AFC, you have to go with the Colts. I know the Saints are going to be tough again. Our division is the toughest in the league. The AFC East is tough, I know that. And we play those teams this season.”

OK, I get that you can’t really say that you have to be positive and confident, but calling the Bears the favorites to win the NFC? Come on Brian! If you want to say that the Bears will be better than people think or that they might surprise some people, I am 100% with you but you’ve got to keep it real.

Madden ’11 Rates the Chicago Bears

It is almost time for the second Christmas Eve in my world and that is the night before Madden ’11 is released!!! Now, I don’t go and wait in lines at midnight and take the whole next day off to play the game. I do have a day job. However, on my way home from work on August 14, I will make a stop to pick up the latest installment of the greatest video game franchise of ALL TIME!!!

So, how do the Bears rate??? In a word…SHITTY!!! I guess the Bears will have some work to do to improve their ratings when updated rosters and ratings are released during the season. Here are some highlights after the jump:

Divisional Smackdown Round 2: NFC North vs East, AFC East vs West

The FanSided Divisional Smackdown is headed to the Semi-Finals pitting the NFC North vs the NFC East and the AFC East vs the AFC West.

In the NFC matchup, the NFC North appears to have a clear advantage on offense, with Aaron Rodgers and Adrian Peterson headlining over Tony Romo and Felix Jones. I still challenge another division to come up with a more formidable pair of defensive ends than Julius Peppers and Jared Allen.

On the AFC side, it’s tough to beat the skill position players that the AFC East puts out there with Tom Brady and Ronnie Brown in the backfield and Randy Moss, Brandon Marshall and Lee Evans at the wide receiver slots. The AFC West is respectable with Phillip Rivers at the helm, but Jamaal Charles and the trio of Vincent Jackson, Malcom Floyd and Dwayne Bowe just don’t stack up. … [visit site to read more]
