Amen! I grew up in NY and to this day can’t explain why I am a Bears fan (my brother is a Raiders fan and my dad is a Broncos fan, figure that out). Despite the fact that my pops didn’t teach me about the rivalry I have grown to hate the packers all on my own. I think it was during the aforementioned years of Favre dominance. For most of my life one side of this rivalry or the other hasn’t been up to par, glad to see this should change tonight.

AMEN!!!! From a displaced Bears Fan who is always having to explain why I am a Bears Fan when I’m from Indiana and live in Miami. When I was a kid, Indiana had no team so the choices were DA BEARS or a team from Ohio…can’t recall their names right now…lol!

Fans in Miami get rabid about the Jets and I liken the rivalry between The Beloved and the Pack to their rivalry simply so they can understand a small amount of it, but since Miami fans are bandwagon fans (my husband has actually STOPPED watching the Fins during a losing season!), they really have NO CLUE.

Preach on, Brother. And GO BEARS!!!!

Amen Decon!! Amen! I remember when the Packers played in Chicago (Damn, I think it was like 15 years ago), when Brett Favre was in the middle of his string of owning the Bears. The Packers killed the Bears on Monday night and it started snowing and the only people left in the stands were wearing those damn orange hunter’s vests).

I was in sales and had a meeting in the morning in Green Bay, so I ended up in a Packer bar to watch the game. I was with people from this account, so I couldn’t display my typical Bears pride. And I had to watch as the entire bar was howling for the team to pour it on and continue to beat up the Bears at the end of the game. People in Chicago sometimes don’t realize how much they hate us. I’ll never forget that humiliation and having to watch that from enemy territory.
