So let me see if I've got this straight....The Bears release their best DE from last year, Alex Brown, because they want to go with the younger, and presumably cheaper, Mark Anderson. New Orleans, the Super Bowl champs immediately sign Brown and out him in the in starting lineup. Then tree games into the season, the Bears release Anderson, PAY HIM 1.7 MILLION FOR THREE GAMES, and sign some clown that New Orleans cast off. Given Jerry Angelo's history, all this somehow makes perfect sense. It is also a perfect indicator of why the Bears are in the shape they are in.

So elemental..... you invest in Cutler, you have to address protection.

You invest in Peppers, you have to have another presence on the opposite side of the line.

Balance.

Alex Brown made plays without help. He and Briggs made ALL the plays. We wasted money on the Chargers second string TE, released Brown and fantasized that Anderson could transcend himself. Coaching or player development, who knows.

We don't offer either.

Or General Managment.

I'm not bummed to see Anderson go. I'm not excited to see Grant come. I'm not excited to see Alex in a Saints uni.

Please someone text Ogunleye. Or is he in Lovie's doghouse too?

Everyone in this organization is "accountable". Lovie is all about "accountability".

Just not for him, JA, Ted Phillips, Marinelli, babich..... seriously boys, insert George W instead of Lovie, Dick C instead of Jerry, etc, etc.

Teflon from criticism or from responsibility for bad decisions. Complete secrecy and NO GAMEPLAN.

You can't make this shite up.....

Wait....wha??? I hated the Alex Brown move and this is seriously rubbing salt in that wound. Can he play guard or tackle? Cause that would be cool, this is just kind of a kick in the balls.

Wow that is sad he couldn't start in the UFL. Well Mark Anderson has never been any good against the run and hasn't been that good at pass rush so we're not losing much thats for sure, but Grant is 32 and if he's not a starter in the UFL well thats pretty scarry also, he's probably better than Anderson but definitely not the answer.
