Breaking News: Drew Stanton Will Start vs Bears

It’s better to be lucky than good.  That might as well become the motto for your 2010 Chicago Bears.  For the second time in three weeks, the Bears will face an opponents’ third string quarterback.  That’s right.  The Lions will trot out clipboard holder Drew Stanton on Sunday with second string QB Shaun Hill sidelined by a broken finger.  Starting QB Matthew Stafford has been battling injuries since Julius Peppers knocked him out of action with a bum shoulder in Week 1.

A couple of games ago the Bears took advantage of a depleted Miami Dolphins squad who forced Tyler Thigpen into action after their first two starters were injured the week before the Bears took their talents to South Beach.  Now the Bears get another third stringer in a key division matchup where they look to sweep the season series with the Lions.   The road through the NFC seems to be paved with horseshoes.
