The NFL Coaches Association jumped into the legal clusterf*ck by filing a brief with the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals expressing their support of the players, saying that the lockout is putting their jobs in jeopardy.

"“Preparation is a coach’s currency, and coaches rely heavily on the offseason to prepare their players for the season,” the NFLCA said. “If the NFL’s lockout denies coaches the necessary time with players, coaches will be significantly more limited in their ability to prepare their teams and to prove their value as coaches.”"

Coaches currency?  The coaches’ currency is cold, hard ridiculous cash.  Millions upon millions!

While I’m glad that someone is making a move to attempt to end this lockout, it’s pretty foolish on the part of the coaches to file this brief.  If you think about it, the lockout is ‘s a Get Out of Jail Free card.  Every coach gets a free pass this year, especially all of the new coaching staffs.

Kidding aside, it’s time to put an end to this legal nonsense and get football going again.  The NFL says they see the signs that the fans are starting to be turned off because of the labor dispute.  So it’s time to get out of the courtrooms, where lawyers’ incentive is to rack up billable hours, and get back to the bargaining table.
