		<description>Watching old footage like this really reminds me of how much the rules have been refined over time, especially with regard to completion of a pass. Towards the end of the Bears/Vikings game, they showed a Bear pick off a Minnesota pass and immediately drop it as he fell to the ground. A teammate scooped it up, but the fact that such a play today would be ruled an incomplete pass really brings it home how things have changed in the sport.
(Not that it&#039;s necessarily a bad thing that the rules have changed. Keeping the spirit of the game is going to have to play second fiddle to keeping the players decently safe at some point.)</description>
