Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari Reportedly Call Off Engagement

If you had already blocked July 7, 2012 on your calendar in hopes of snagging an invitation to Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari’s wedding, that weekend might suddenly be free.  According to entertainment reporter Billy Bush (and I never trust an adult male who goes by “Billy”) Cutler and Cavallari have called off their engagement:

"Kristin cavallari and jay cutler engagement is off. Source super tight."

This is bad news for Bears fans.  The last thing we need is our quarterback, coming off a tumultuous offseason marred by his departure from the NFC Championship, with a big distraction in his personal life.

Cutler and Cavallari started dating last August and got engaged in April.  As recently as 2 weeks ago, Jay went to Miami to support Cavallari who modeled in a fashion show.  News of the breakup comes as a surprise since they just announced their wedding date and details of their gift registry started leaking out earlier this month.
