@BearGogglesOn I'm sure Forte and his agent have their eyes on this and will act accordingly. Forte has been nothing but classy about his contract situation as it stands and Angelo is doing his typical BS and back burnering it because he has no clue WTF he's doing. Was out running errands yesterday and caught Holmes and Bernstein talking about it and they made a good point. Typically when it comes to this type of extension you've got a good player who wants to stay with the team and would probably work with a home team discount. Of course this means Angelo will probably low ball the s%@t out of him. I thoroughly expect this deal to go down at the last possible moment or not at all considering who's involved. Considering Angelo's record I don't expect to see Forte suited up on Saturday.

I wonder if Matt Forte has taken notice of the rash of serious training camp injuries? If he and the Bears can't come to agreement on a contract before Saturday's game with the Bills, will he sit out? Lovie Smith wasn't having it when asked about it, saying he decides on the playing time. Situation could get ugly. Something to keep an eye on.

Yes I did see the tweet. It does seem like an awful high number of people that have gone down with that injury. Although, I was listening to the Score this afternoon, and they were talking about how Dr's. say that with the Achilles, it is not necessarily the hit itself, but it deteriorates and goes when it is ready to go. It is a mystery; and I would have to say that if this continues to occur at this rate, maybe it has something to do with the conditioning practices of the individual players pre-lockout.

Thanks for reading and commenting!

You see the tweet from Brad Biggs that this was the 10th player this preseason to tear his Achilles? Seems like an awful high incidence of this going on already. Obviously though our fearless commissioner will make this a hot button issue this year.
