I don`t see it, I see a run oriented team still, and Martz has been reined in by Lovie, What Lovie wants , Lovie gets it seems, they are passing more only because they have to, But I still don`t see a number 1 receiver?? and Olsen out the door mistake,

Hey Boomer!

I agree with half of what you half said, and the other half I don't agree with half as much as I agree with the first half... LOL!

Two thoughts: After the Saints - Packers game last night, I don't know how our defense can stay with either of those teams. The dream of a 2-1 start doesn't look good. If Atlanta has improved (which it looks like they have), I will be shocked if we can compete in any of the first three games.

Second thought: stop dissing on Rex Grossman. Rex was never really the problem. He is actually a decent quarterback, and I am willing to bet he will prove that this year with Washington. The issue, back then, was our crappy offensive coordinator, who couldn't design a lean-to if you spotted him three stacked sticks and handed him a tarp.

Is this Boomer writing this or did Coop learn to type? Damn Boom, way to fill your glass half way!!! The fact of the matter, is while I am not sure I agree 100% with what you say, you do bring up some good points. Mostly, I don't agree with you because I don't trust Angelo to have the more foresight and I trust Ruskell even less. That said, I see no reason why the Bears can't compete well this season and we will know afterthe first month of the season...actually we'll know after the first 3 weeks. If the Bears can compete well in those games and somehow come away 2-1, I think they will stay in the discussion all season, because the schedule gets appreciably more manageable starting in week 4. I think the D will be fine this year and I hope JC and the O can pick up their game. I don't want to spoil the staff predictions for the Bears season which I know you are probably writing up as we speak, but I think the outlook for this year is good. The team is 100% behind their coach and in this day and age of prima donna atheletes (even Lance Briggs), I think that goes a long way...damn, I am glad football is back!!!
