Barber, Carimi Out, Williams Expected to Start for Bears vs Packers

Marion Barber and Gabe Carimi are expected to miss Sunday’s matchup against the Packers, but Jason LaCanfora expects both to be back for Week 4 against Carolina.  Barber hasn’t played since he was injured in a preseason game against the Titans.  Carimi, whose knee injury is not as serious as first expected, might be able to make it back just missing one week.  Frank Omiyale will start at right tackle in his place.  It will be be the third starting offensive line in three games for the Beloved.

On the good news front, Roy Williams is expected to start against the Packers’ 32nd ranked pass defense.  If the Bears can give Cutler any protection, look for the offense to attack through the air.

It could be challenging at Soldier Field on Sunday on a wet, sloppy track.  Intermittent rain is expected throughout the game.

I’ll be at the game, so look for any live updates by following me on Twitter @BearGogglesOn.
