Personally, I have liked what I've seen from him as well. I'm sure there's a spot for him on the roster, just maybe not starting. I hope he continues to produce with sure hands.

It's especially good that the left side of the line has some consistency, because that's Cutler's blind side. Most of the really bad sacks (big losses, hard hits, fumbles forced) have been from a defender coming around the left where Cutler can't see him. Jay is quick enough to avoid a sack and stretch a play out when he sees the guy coming, but he needs someone to watch his back.

@bishopmsu Where do you think rookie Dane fits in to the future? I've liked what I've seen from him.

I'm going to have to defend the writer preemptively on this one. The RW apologist would reference him missing a game and playing hurt. Trust me, as Bears fans, we would ALL LOVE to see Roy be a top tier WR that he has had flashes of being in his career. Unfortunately for him, there's always premier talent coming up from college and his age is catching up to him. If he redeems himself, great! The Bears would be that much better for it. If he continues to be mediocre...not a huge loss. Knox has had flashes too, but like RW his hands sometimes turn to bricks. Unlike Williams, Knox doesn't always run the right routes. I like both players and wish they'd capitalize, but they just haven't been spectacular. If the aforementioned WRs continue at their pace I wouldn't be surprised if Hester becomes the #2 next year, they put Earl at #3, and draft a #1. Much like now, Knox would remain second string.
