I'll spare everyone my typical belief of the Bears' coaching staff lacking the ability to coach; and the organization's inability to draft and evaluate talent. But the real problem (IMO) is the Bears rely too heavily on winning games based on their defense and ST. Don't get me wrong, both are important. But if the D doesn't get 3+ turnovers and Hester doesn't run one back, then we scramble to put points on the board. I don't know...maybe this doesn't make sense to anyone else. I'm just still pissed they pissed the bed against the Chiefs. I'm mean, for God's sake...3 damn points against the Chiefs. That's all we got...3 damn points!!

C- for Martz is utterly wrong. This is the second game (and loss) in a row, where he had the opportunity to push the game forward with a field goal and win a low-scoring game, but instead he chose a pass play and failed. Fourth and 1 yard and he put the ball in his "rookie" QB's hands and not his all-pro-to-be runningback. Against the chiefs, if the offense can't get one yard on a run play then they don't deserve the win, but to put that responsibility on Caleb is asinine. AND, the fact that the playcalling was "balanced" also means that he was relying on Caleb too much. AND, even though we all know that the Bears wanted to run the ball, Martz only called ONE play-action pass IN TWO GAMES! That's right, every pass Caleb called was a straight drop-back. NO! Let's not help the rookie out by SOME type of fake. Nope, let's just run em back and let the D-line shift into pass-rush mode. Not one swing pass to an RB or FB. Not one screen this week either. I swear to god, if they don't fire Martz on the off-season, I'm giving up the Bears next year.

This turned out to be the only game all year that I wasn't able to follow live in any way, shape, or form. Initially I was disappointed when I realized this, now I definitely think it was for the best. I had faith in Hanie, now I'm ready to start smashing the panic button.
