I thought the cover – 2 was basically a prevent defense…bend, don’t break. Their prevent defense is simply a ‘break’ defense.

@Deez I’ve been having similar thoughts all week. Perhaps I’m biased by how angry I still am at this loss but I honestly believe the prevent style that Lovie loooooves to go at the end of a game has lost a lot of close games for them. Gotta think that the defense gives a collective groan when they hear those play-calls come in. Gotta wonder what runs through Urlacher’s head while he’s watching a lead slip away cause they’re giving guys all kinds of room to work with.

Urlacher’s comments give the feeling that defense didn’t agree with the play-calling at the end of the game. Silly Lovie Dovie, prevent D is for quitters.
