Jerry Angelo – How The Grinch Stole the Chicago Bears’ Season

AUTHOR: | IN: Bears | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

‘Tis the season to throw some blame around.  Maybe I’m just getting ready for Festivus’ Airing of Grievances or maybe I’ve just hit my breaking point on this Chicago Bears season.   It’s time to hold someone accountable for the train wreck that is the 2011 season and that person is Chicago Bears GM Jerry Angelo.  He is the Grinch Who Stole the Bears Season.  Follow me to the other side to see how the Grinch stole our season.

McCown to Start as Bears Continue to Bungle Quarterback Decisions

AUTHOR: | IN: Lower the Boom | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

Some please alert head coach Lovie Smith that the Bears are out of the playoffs.   Sure, there is some Good Will Hunting mathematical formula by which the Bears can still qualify, but it’s time to call this season what it is – a total and complete collapse.  Now the Bears insist on compounding the problem by screwing up the starting quarterback for their Christmas night game with the Green Bay Packers. I’ll be the first to admit that I was advocating for Jay Cutler’s return if the Bears had won last week and the Packers game was do or die.  [...]

If Bears Beat Packers, Wisconsin Children Could Suffer

AUTHOR: | IN: NFC North | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Clipped from: packersnews.greenbaypressgazette.com (share this clip) I will always root for the Chicago Bears, rain or shine; hell or high water but after reading this article, a little part of me hopes the Packers win for the childrens’ sake.  Check out what this Cheesehead “Mother of the Year” nominee did after her beloved Packers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs last Sunday: Police were called about 8:15 p.m. Sunday to a Grand Chute hotel where the girl told police her mother grabbed her by the neck during the game. The woman was drinking alcohol and became upset because the Packers [...]

A Bears Fan Letter to Santa!!!

AUTHOR: | IN: Off-Topic/Other | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

I am one of those lucky guys who happens to share his birthday with that guy that is Tebowed to every week by the NFL’s most polarizing player in history.  Yep, I am a Christmas baby.  So, since I have always missed out on a “traditional birthday” because I didn’t have another random day of the year on which I could get presents, I figured I would appeal to Santa’s sense of fairness and add some things to my list.  I too will be fair, realizing Santa won’t have a chance to pack all these asks in his sleigh for delivery [...]

Chicago Bears Week 15 Report Card

AUTHOR: | IN: Game Notes | COMMENTS: 6 Comments

The Chicago Bears played one of their worst games of the season against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, losing 38-14.  They were outscored 31-0 in the second half and gave up two pick-sixes.  Caleb Hanie proved that he is not an NFL-ready quarterback.  The Bears receivers and offensive line again played sub-par, showing how incompetent of a GM Jerry Angelo is.  The defense, which has carried the Bears most games, even had a hard time stopping a Seattle team with a lackluster offense and only forced one turnover.  Finally, the Bears were outcoached, period. I could pick and choose [...]

Jesus Visits Tim Tebow Following Bears Win SNL Skit

AUTHOR: | IN: Off-Topic/Other | COMMENTS: None Yet

Even though it’s a mild and sunny Monday in Chicago, it’s a dark and dreary day for Chicago Bears fans.  The dimming playoff hopes are all but a memory and a trip to Lambeau Field to face the 13-1 Packers on Christmas night for a national embarrassment awaits. Here’s a little something to cheer you up.  In case you missed it on Saturday night, here’s a sketch they put together on Jesus visiting Tim Tebow after the Broncos’ improbable 13-10 win over the Bears last week.

Lovie Smith’s Postgame Press Conference Following Seahawks Loss

AUTHOR: | IN: Bears | COMMENTS: None Yet

Lovie Smith addressed the media after Sunday’s death blow 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Bill Parcells famously said, “You are what your record says you are.”  That couldn’t be more true for our Beloved Chicago Bears.   The Bears currently reside at 7-7 and for better or for worse, that’s what they deserve.
