That cartoon at the top sums it up. It really doesn't matter who they name the "GM" because it's going to be Lovie's call all the way. The Bears think this is such a prime job but it's a pathetic joke the way they're handling it, which is so typical Bears. Tim Ruskell will be our next GM, you can count on it. No one in their right mind would come into this situation just like they couldn't get a coordinator and promoted Martz.

Seeing as I spent most of my life in NY and still have lots of friends and family back there I get a little more Giants exposure than I would like. That being said there is no denying they have drafted well on both sides of the ball in recent years. More specifically, as you've pointed out, they've drafted especially well at the DL and WR positions, one position integral to Lovie's "scheme" (which we're stuck with for at least another year) and one position that is a huge need. I also think he's probably one of the youngest GM candidates out there so maybe he'll be humbled by the opportunity and won't mind inheriting Lovie. He's built up a pretty impressive resume in a short time so he gets my vote.

What happened to Les Snead? One day I read the Bears are "meticulously vetting" him and the next he seems to have fallen off the radar entirely.
