Oh there is nothing about this loss that could make me angry. This squad was anointed with the "dynasty" title the second the clock read 0:00 at last year's Super Bowl and the media would have us believe they shouldn't even play the games this year cause a second ring was a forgone conclusion. Seeing the Pack pull a one and done in such dramatic fashion was the next best thing to watching the Bears win a playoff game. In fact the only people I feel sorry for are the ones on the wrong side of the multitude of domestic violence calls the Wisconsin police surely responded to from about halftime on. However, I can't disagree that the sky was the limit for this Bears squad prior to a flukey Jay Cutler injury. I'll gladly have endured this disaster of a season if we get a GM that produces a promising draft class (which would certainly NOT be Tim Ruskell).

You guys are deluded. Give SF credit for holding Brees within the Niners capability score wise and more importantly, going for it when they had the chance. SF won that game by attacking the field.

GB's defense was exposed on a day that ARodgers was contained. That is all and don't worry, GB will correct the defense over the offseason. Thats what quality management does, but i don't blame Bears fans for not being cognizant of that acumen.

But once again, don't underestimate how important Eli Manning and an aggressive offense did to expose GB's weakness. Alex Smith and Eli WON their games.

To conflate that defense won those games is to miss the whole picture, a Chicago character trait. And remember, we have Lovie coaching, not Coughlin or Harbaugh.

How many times did GB school us this year? To think we should have been where they were is dillusional on an Angelo level. Hasn't GB beaten us the last four games? Didn't NO beat us up this year?

Maybe boom should craft a fun new way to revisit the '85 team he seems so fond of doing. It'll keep the sheep from looking around the meadow at the wolves in hiding. Everythings great and Boom will be ecstatic when Lovie announces Ruskell as his new boss!

The author is right... It should have been the chicago bears playing in the NFC championship game. The 2 teams playing this upcoming this weekend everything starts with there defense.

I figured you were going to be more upset that a defense constructed under Perry Fewell (who Chicago interviewed for a similar position) played lights out and that's something we could be benefiting from. No disrespect to Rod Marinelli, he's made our team superb as well!
