Papa Bear – Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari Expecting Their First Child

Lots of Congratulations going around tonight.  First we gave a shoutout to Peanut Tillman for being named one of the Finalists for the NFL’s Walter Payton Man of Year Award and now on to some more fun news – Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler and on-again, off-again, on-again fiancee Kristin Cavallari are expecting their first child! This quote from Kristtin from the People.com article:

"“We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together,” they tell PEOPLE exclusively. “It’s an amazing time in our life and we can’t wait to meet the new addition to our growing family.”"

The exciting news marks the end to an interesting year.

It’s funny that this news broke on NFC Championship Sunday.  Just a year ago, Cutler was bashed on Twitter for leaving the NFC Championship Game with a knee injury as the Bears failed to advance to the Super Bowl, losing to their hated rival Packers.  Fans were burning Cutler jerseys in effigy and backup quarterback Caleb Hanie was the talk of the town.

Camera crews and paparazzi followed Cutler out to LA where he was spotted shopping with Cavallari days after his knee injury.  Next, he and Kristin announced their engagement, only to break it off a few months later in July.  By November, Cutty and Kristin had reconciled and clearly it was in a big way.  Now a baby Bear is on the way!
