After watching his press conference I'm actually kind of impressed with his style and the things he had to say about accountability throughout the entire organization. I hope his words translate into action because his formula sounded like the right one. I know talk is cheap but this guy seems to command attention far more than JA ever did.

I actually don't hate this move (which is a problem in and of itself since that is what I have said about every move the Bears have made with the exception of Cutler and Peppers, but I digress). Sure he was involved in some spotty picks with the Bears but his record with the Falcons looks pretty good and there are already some guys that contribute from his drafts with the Chiefs, which it's still too early to grade yet. I read somewhere that he was the guy that convinced the Falcons to draft Roddy White, he brings a guy like that to Chicago and he'll have already outperformed Angelo.

I am still surprised that the Bears fired Angelo. I think we all are. So, lets give them the benfit of the doubt on this move. I don't think its unheard of for a CEO (and its company) to hire someone they know or are comfortable with. Look, they got rid of Angelo. We all wanted it, and it was long overdue. Let's see what this guy does this year in free agency and the draft before this team's window closes. Then we can all judge him appropriately.

Yeah....I'll just go ahead and put my suprised look on. These people have no capability to go outside of their comfort zone which a lot of people, including myself, believe must me done. I mean why not take a chance on a young, fiery Jason Licht from arguably one of the best franchises in the history of the game? Why not take Marc Ross from the Giants, who.....well......are in the Super Bowl again and continue to have extraordinary draft days? WHY take a guy from a franchise that continues to be a complete joke year after year? A franchise that gave Matt Cassel a 63 million dollar contract. The Bears just gave the control of this franchise to a guy with a bachelors degree in physical education. So yes, they gave a gym teacher the keys to the Bears future.
