No way now how. This would be a typical Chicago move. I.E. Roy Williams, Rick Mier, Kordel Stewret the list goes on and on. Nobody wanted Moss last year for a reason. First he is 35 second he is a one trick pony if he loses his speed he has nothing else to offer. The Bears need to act less like the Bears and more like the Patriots or more correctly te Eagles. We have the cap space this year use it. On top of if ones available take a receiver with the top pick. There are a lot of top free agents at many positions for the taking go after your needs while building from within.

Let me be clear to address a few comments/tweets in one shot. I am not suggesting that the Bears sign Moss and do nothing else. If they go with Moss, I think they also need to draft a WR and also look for another FA. Everyone wants VJax, so the price will be high. If the Bears go with a few lesser guys, they might have a few bucks to spend to upgrade O-line, CB, DE, etc.

Not sure I really like this idea. I feel like this might be a combination of bad moves from last year, a veteran receiver on the decline AND a Belichick cast off (which is a kiss of death in my opinion). On the other hand though he is freakishly athletic and probably one of the all time greats at WR. Depending on the price he's probably worth a one year deal. Normally I'd say how much damage can he do to a locker room in one year; however, it only took him 4 games to get a one way ticket out of Minnesota. I doubt he'd be much of a teacher so he's really just a hired mercenary, and should be a last resort.

Of all the likely free agent options I think Vincent Jackson makes the most sense. He's the "go up and get it" kinda guy we need, he wants out of San Diego, and Cutler gets to stick it to Rivers a bit.

I would sign him to a base salary filled with catch and TD incentives, low risk financialy and could possibly be agreat temporay fix as #2 reciever with Bennett and then make a strong play to acquire Bowe or Jackson in free agency. If Moss still has the gas in the tank to play at a high level, he is without doubt still capable of putting up a 1,000 yd, 16 TD season, ifhe does not have the gas to go every down, he would still make a great clutch reciever and red zone reciever. There is alot of positives Moss could teach Bennett, Knox and Sanzabacher....and I believe Sanze could develope into a very good #2 or #3 reciever with some coaching nd veteran help.
