Bear Goggles On Reader’s Mock Draft: Carolina Panthers Are On the Clock

Since I’ve been slacking a bit on keeping up with our Reader’s Mock Draft, I decided to skip the Miami Dolphins since it seems to be a foregone conclusion that they’ll take Ryan Tannehill.  Let’s move on to the Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers made a big splash last season with rookie sensation Cam Newton but they’re still a ways away from where they need to be to compete for a title.  They seem to have their offensive core in place with Newton, DeAngelo Williams and the recently extended Steve Smith.  Oh and don’t forget Greg Olsen at tight end.  Remember him?

Don’t be surprised if Ron Rivera, former Bears defensive coordinator, pushes to bolster his unit.  Do they make a move to get the “next Julius Peppers” in Quinton Coples?  How about the top DT in Michael Brockers out of LSU?  How about top linebacker prospect like BC’s Luke Keuchley?  If Michael Floyd is still on the board, can the Panthers pass up taking another weapon for Cam?  Let’s vote:
