The buzz has been around for a few days now, but Adam Caplan is confirming via Twitter that Amobi Okoye has signed a 1-year deal with the Bears.

It’s not official yet as the Bears haven’t announced it yet, but it should make a few guys on the 53-man roster a little nervous. As far as defensive linemen go, Cheta Ozougwu is the most likely candidate to go in my eyes, though Corey Wooton might lose a little sleep too. Others on the roster who might be a little hot under the collar are safety Jeremy Jones and linebacker Patrick Trahan. When Okoye is added, someone’s gotta go, so we’ll see who it is.
