The best quarterback in Green Bay yesterday was Alex Smith.  He was calm, cool, and collected and was able to pick apart the Packers suspect secondary routinely on Sunday going 20-26 for 211 yards and 2tds.

The game shouldn’t have even been in doubt except that Randall Cobb’s touchdown was allowed even though the refs through a flag for an obvious block in the back but picked the flag up.  Either way Smith and the 49ers weathered the storm and prevailed in Lambeau Field 30-22.

The secret to their success is simple.  The played great defense all day getting pressure on Rodgers. Green Bay was very ineffective running the ball ( Cedric Benson only had 18 yards on the ground in his debut), and Smith picked on the secondary all day!  It’s great seeing the Packers at 0-1 but it would be much sweeter to see them at 0-2 after Thursday night and the Bears will have a golden opportunity to do so!

The Bears win big and the Packers lose at home! It’s a great start to the work week!
