Who am I? I’m Just Another Chicago Bears Fan

facebooktwitterreddit

Let me introduce myself. My name is Mike Praser and I’m a Chicago Bears fan. Woah, that was deep right? Feels good to get that off my chest.

What kind of Bears fan am I? I’m the kind of fan who makes his family wear Bears jerseys for our family pictures.

My Family must really love me right?

I’m the kind of Bears fan that turns his car into the “Bears Mobile” knowing it will embarrass his wife so much that she refuses to drive it anymore.

I have since removed the pin-striping after the Bears lost to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Title game. What can I say, I got a little emotional.

I’m the kind of Bears fan who talks about the Bears with his friends and family whether they want to hear about it or not.

That is what has brought me here. Instead if sharing my opinions and love of the Bears to people who are indifferent, I will now be sharing with you, my fellow Bears fans. Doesn’t that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside? No? That’s probably a good thing. But I have to tell you that I am excited to be joining the crew here at Bear Goggles On.

So that you understand my view of the Bears, I am a glass is half full kind of fan. I always look for the positive in most things, except when I can’t find it.

My current favorite Bear is Jay Cutler. I know, I know… One of the 10 most disliked athletes in America according to forbes.com. People are just jealous of his awesomeness right?

Yeah, I own a Jay Cutler Jersey.

He was the first and will probably be the last active Bear that has the honor of me owning his jersey. I have an unwritten rule when it comes to buying Bears Jerseys. Only buy jerseys of players who were legendary Bears. That way I won’t be stuck with a jersey of a current player who gets traded or cut. (I guess it’s a written rule now). Did you own a Greg Olsen jersey? I sure hope not.

My favorite past Bear has to be Bronko Nagurski.

Me in my Bronko Nagurski Jersey and Mongo.

That man was a beast. Not only was he a two way player, he was also a professional wrestler. Plus he had an awesome name. I can say it all day long, “Bronko Nagurski”. Try it. You’ll like it. It’s almost as satisfying as saying, “Mike Ditka” or even, “Dick Butkus”. Make sure you do it in your NFL Films voice.

I am looking forward to sharing my opinions about the greatest football team ever. That’s right, you know who I’m talking about. Da Bears!
