#76 2012– Cecil Shorts WR Jacksonville Jaguars- Shorts was a surprise fantasy WR free agent star in 2012! Justin Blackmon was supposed to be the star from the second he walked onto the field in J-Ville but it was Shorts who stole the show for most of the season. Even with a pathetic Blaine Gabbert and an adequate Chad Henne Shorts put up 55 catches for 979 yards and 7 TD’s.  Shorts did only catch 2 for 43 when the Bears visited Jacksonville, but he had 9 weeks of 10 or more fantasy points for a terrible offense.

#76 Retro 2002– Carolina Panthers D- This was back in the day when the Panthers had a pretty good defense. They recorded 53 sacks 17 interceptions 16 fumble recoveries and 2 Defensive Td’s.  Defenses are a dime a dozen so this retro look is kind of disappointing.

Look Ahead #76

ESPN– Lance Moore- WR New Orleans Saints- The Saints offense is explosive enough, but with Sean Payton sitting around the house for an entire year thinking up plays makes me believe every Saints player is possible of exploding fantasy wise this season.

CBS Sportsline– Cecil Shorts- As discussed in this post Shorts was great last season but I don’t see a repeat performance if it’s Gabbert at QB.  If it’s anyone else maybe.

What do you think of Shorts worth in 2013?
