#72-2012 Rob Gronkowski Gronkowski missed  5 out of the last six weeks and if you owned him in a fantasy leagues in 2012 he hurt your championship possibilities, but look at the monster stats he put up at the tight end position while only playing 11 weeks out of the season.  Gronkowski caught 55 balls for 790 yards and 11 touchdowns.  He is by far the receiver outside of the departed Wes Welker that Tom Brady feels most comfortable with on Sunday’s.   The whole Patriot team has been thrown for a loop this week with the arrest of Aaron Hernandez and if the Gronkowski doesn’t return to the field in Week #1 which is a real possibility, The Patriots could be without Brady’s top 5 weapons from 2012.

Retro- 2012– Edgerrin  James RB Indianapolis Colts- This was James second season and it was his last one rushing for less than a 1,000 yards until 2008. James still rushed for 989 yards and 2 touchdowns but in the next 5 years with Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison they became a fantasy trio that everyone wanted on their fantasy squad.

Look Ahead #72

ESPN-Danario Alexander WR- San Diego Chargers- As we have discussed earlier with Alexander the question is not really with Alexander but if the real Phillip Rivers will ever make it back to the field or the Rivers we have been stuck with the past couple years is as good as it gets.

CBS– Colin Kaepernick-QB- San Fransisco 49ers- I’m one of the few that thinks Colin is overrated and will have a tough season as the regular starter.  I really believe that defenses are going to catch up to both the 49ers and Seattle Seahawks offenses in 2013.  I have been wrong but that is my prediction.

Do you think I’m crazy on Kaepernick prediction?
