#64 2012– Denver Broncos Defense- Looking back at 2012 I didn’t realize that the Broncos defense was this good.  They had 52 sacks, 16 interceptions, 8 forced fumbles and 6 defensive touchdowns. They are a dark horse defense so if you decide to pick up a defense late and they are available this is a solid pick.

Retro 2002 #64- Marcel Shipp- Like the Broncos defense I never remember Shipp being fantasy relevant! Shipp’s 2002 season was his best with 827 yards rushing and 6 touchdowns while receiving 420 yards and 3 touchdowns. Shipp had a decent 2003 season but that would be it before the Shipp sailed in Marcel’s career!

Looking Ahead 2013

ESPN #64– Matt Ryan QB Atlanta Falcons- Matty Ice is not very exciting and seems snake bit during the playoffs, but as a fantasy quarterback he’s consistent and doesn’t have many stinkers like Tony Romo does.  Ryan has Julio Jones who had a breakout season and now looks like he’s ready to explode so picking up Ryan is a solid choice for your quarterback for 2013.

CBS #64 Andre Brown- RB New York Giants- Brown will have a chance especially at the goal line with a dual role with David Wilson.  Brown can get the ball over the goal line which is huge especially when you are in deep 12 or 16 team leagues and in need of backup running backs.
