The Detroit Lions have listed the following players as inactive for today’s game: Nate Burleson, Kellen Moore, Mikel Leshoure, Leroy Harris, Jason Fox, Patrick Edwards, D’Anthony Smith

The Chicago Bears have listed the following players as inactive for today’s game: Marquess Wilson, Joe Anderson, Sherrick McManis, James Brown, Jonathan Scott, David Bass, Zach Minter.

This means that both Reggie Bush and Charles Tillman are active today for their respective teams. Bush is a dual threat who can both run the ball and catch the ball with effectiveness. He has 260 yards from scrimmage and 1TD in 1.5 games this year.

Tillman has been a key player for the Bears defense and a Pro Bowl player; his presence and ability to cover Calvin Johnson will be a major factor in whether the Bears win or not. Tillman held Calvin Johnson to 104 yards last season in two games in two Bears victories over the Lions last season.

This is the first game that Bears RB Michael Ford and DB C.J. Wilson will be active this season. Bears WR Joe Anderson is inactive for the first time this season

Stand out rookie DL Ezekiel Ansah is also active for the Lions as well. He was listed as questionable all week.

The biggest surprise is that interior DL Landon Cohen, whom the Bears signed earlier this week to replace Henry Melton who was placed on season ending IR is active over Zach Minter who has been with the team since training camp. Does this say more about Cohen’s ability or Minter’s development?
