Before you jump off the ledge, did you really think they Bears were going to win all 16 games, cruise through the playoffs and win the Super Bowl? They were going to lose and today was the day. The Bears were out schemed, out-coached, and outplayed in all phases. There are no excuses and no reason to point the finger at a particular player. It was a systematic breakdown.

Despite the loss, I will still give out the 4th Phase game ball. This week, it goes to Alshon Jeffery. Jeffery is progressing every game and it really looks like we have an emerging star. He’s a big target with strong hands and can block downfield. His 27 yard run set up Matt Forte’s 53 yard touchdown run for an early lead. On Forte’s run, Jeffery took out two defenders and Forte was not touched.

Jeffrey finished with 5 receptions for 107 yards, including a 44 yard receptions where he out jumped 2 Lions defenders on a critical play when the Bears needed to drive down the field to at least make it a ball game. On his 14 yard touchdown reception, Jeffery was blanketed by a defender and he made a play on the ball.

Who do you think should have received the game ball? Tell us in the comments below.
