Tim Jennings

It’s rare to find a Pro Bowl cornerback on the market.

Why trade him?

This is a bit of a white flag deal if it were to ever to come to fruition.  Jennings has picked up pretty well were he left off last season.  He’s had clutch picks and even had a pick-6.  Why trade him? Because you might find a playoff contender like the Bengals, who lost Leon Hall for the season, willing to give you decent value.  He’s another rental, whose contract expires after 2013.

What could you get for Jennings?

The Bengals send the HBO Hard Knocks crew to Chicago along with some Skyline Chili and 6th rounder.

Michael Bush

Who?  Oh yeah, Matt Forte’s backup.

Why trade him?

Because for whatever reason, he doesn’t seem to be in Marc Trestman’s plans.  His role has diminished to negligible.  Maybe you find a team ravaged by injuries at running back that need some outside help.  He’s still under contract for 2014.

What could you get for him?

I’d settle on a jug of Gatorade and a 7th rounder.

Shea McClellin

From first round pick to bust in less than 25 games.

Why trade him?

Unless you’re planning on the big reveal and switching to the 3-4 coming out of the bye week, he just doesn’t fit the Bears’ scheme.  Phil Emery talked about picking players who transcend scheme.  He was not talking about McClellin.  The few flashes you’ve gotten from him were when he was standing up or in obvious passing downs.  He’s not an every down DE.

What could you get for him?

The Packers would send a wedge of cheese, 5 pounds of bratwurst and a 6th rounder to get the guy they supposedly targeted when the Bears swooped in and grabbed him a few spots ahead of them in the 2012 draft.

What do you think of these proposed deals?  Who else has any trade value?  Would you be a buyer or a seller?  Let’s hear your thoughts!
