The Defensive issues still haven’t been fixed.  Reggie Bush will run for a ton of yards… again, and Matthew Stafford will throw for a ton of yards… again.  The Bears offense will put up a few yards themselves and keep this one close, but not close enough.

Michael Praser (4-4)

The Bears did exactly what I wanted. They proved me wrong. I’m sorry, but nobody could predict that Chicken Dinner Road, AKA Shea McClellin would knock Aaron Rodgers out of the game and have a total of 3 sacks. Cameron was just writing about how Shea McClellin isn’t working out as an every down defensive end and how he thinks the Bears are closer to the 3-4 than you think.  Anyway, the Bears need to take care of business at home and I believe that they will. Bear Goggles are going back on this week. The Lions are tough, but the Bears will have home field advantage and hopefully the fans can be quiet when the offense is at work. Not a hard concept. Make noise on defense and be quiet on offense.

Bears 31 – Lions 24

Keith Schultz (5-3)

The Bears win covered up a huge problem. The defense couldn’t tackle Lacy, but they were saved because backup Seneca Wallace couldn’t complete a forward pass.  The Lions are a very complete offensive team and the Bears need to find a solution to their problems on the defensive end. The Trestman offense seems to be finding its way so this should be a good show.

Lions 38 – Bears 34

Mike Flannery (4-4)

How can I pick against Josh McCown after that performance Monday night? It’s not going to be easy with the defense still struggling and coming off a short week while the Lions have had an extra week to prepare. I think home field will be the difference in this one as Reggie Bush is a bit slower on grass and the weather will hinder the Lions explosive passing game. I’m predicting a shoot-out that goes down to the wire with Robbie Gould kicking a long game-winner as time expires.
