Sometimes it sucks to be a sports writer. I am supposed to have answers. You want analysis. As a fan you are reading about your team to be entertained, and to be informed. Sometimes you just want to commiserate. You feel pain after a loss and you want to know you’re not alone. I’m here to tell you that there are a whole group of people who can’t grasp the loss Sunday at Soldier Field. It was a text-book example of giving a game away.

Still reeling from the win over the Green Bay Packers on Monday, I thought we were in a great position. We would beat the Detroit Lions and take first place in the division. We would go on to the playoffs and possibly #2 seed. I was drinking the Kool-aid. I was so high on the Bears that I forgot that they have a habit of disappointing us like this.

Yesterday, we were out-coached.
