I thought I’d submit my post a little later as I was waiting on the outcome of the MNF match up between the Lions and the defending Super Bowl Champions Ravens. Both defenses fought real hard and the Detroit fans were really pumped. The Lions couldn’t pull it off though. The Chicago Bears are now in sole possession of first place in the NFC North. We haven’t been there in a while and it feels great! The Ravens did it without even scoring a touchdown.

Last year when the Ravens won the Super Bowl, I was working in IT in Columbia, MD, just outside of Baltimore. I had the pleasure of working with a big Ravens fan named Brad Hudson. The Bears had just lost Brian Urlacher, and the Ravens had just lost Ed Reed and Ray Lewis had retired. Brad and I were able to commiserate over these losses together. He also taught me a great deal about troubleshooting and was a good friend. I still owe him a Spike energy drink, because we were having trouble finding a store that still sold it. If you ever have an opportunity to try one, I recommend it. A tip if you do though, have things you need to get done.

I am definitely excited about our next game against the Eagles. It was deemed flex-worthy and was bumped up to SNF. We control our own destiny now in the division. I guess well see what our “starter” is all about now.

I just want what every other Chicago Bears fan wants. To win, baby.
