It’s really hard to give a game ball when the Bears season just ended but Matt Forte balled today. He rushed for 110 yards and two touchdowns and 4 receptions for 47 yards with one touchdown. Giving the rock to Forte is exactly what the Bears needed to attack the Packers porous defense and ease pressure off Jay Cutler.

Despite the overwhelming feeling of disappointment, we’re lucky to have Forte on the team. Forte is a multi-dimensional back and is just plain ol’ productive. He isn’t as flashy, isn’t the fast or strongest but he does everything well. He finished the season with 1,229 yards on the ground and 547 receiving yards. He was third in total yards from scrimmage behind Shady McCoy and Jamaal Charles.
