The NFL draft will be here before we know it.  Now that Free Agency has settled down, team needs have come into focus.  That could mean only one thing – it’s time for another mock draft!  But rather than us sitting back and throwing darts at the wall, we thought we’d let you join in the fun.  We’ll roll through the draft order and give each team choices based on team needs and the best players available and you’ll vote on the picks for each team. On with the countdown…

21. Green Bay Packers 8-7-1

The Pack finished 8-7-1 and for some it was the year that showed cracks in the Championship veneer.  Rodgers got hurt early and the team went 2-5-1 and that alone showed a glaring weakness on the offense.  The defense finished near the bottom of the league and for once the Packers had a tough time of it.  Fans were screaming for Dom Capers, the DC, to be fired and some believe if the Lions hadn’t folded down the stretch the Packers would never had seen the playoffs. In fact, even with the Lions unable to take control of a floundering division, it still took the Packers a blown call and a blown assignment to get into the playoffs over the Bears.

As the 2014 season dawns, the only real credible signing was Julius Peppers at DE.  Then again, how much does the aging 34 veteran have left after some quiet seasons in Chicago.  There is little doubt as Rodgers goes so do the Packers. It is a team in transition like the other NFC North teams, but this time the competition is improving, will the Packers do the same or continue to hold the same cards and risk a slow fade.
