The battle behind Cutler will be one to watch through training camp and the preseason games.  If the Bears felt strongly about Jordan Palmer, it’s unlikely they would have signed Clausen at the eleventh hour of the offseason.

If Trestman can unlock something in Clausen, he has a lot more experience than Palmer; that is to say, he’s attempted 299 passes, throwing 3 TD’s and 9 INT’s in his one season of action before being relegated to the bench.
