We had so much fun doing our Countdown to Kickoff series last season that we decided to do it again.  In case you’re new to the series, we’ll do a roster preview as we count down the days until the Chicago Bears September 7th season opener against the Buffalo Bills.

Shaun went undrafted in 2011 out of North Carolina. At North Carolina, he was a three year part time starter.  Hes singed as an undrafted free agent with the Redskins and was a final roster cut.  He then signed onto the Chiefs practice squad, and when Jackie Battle was placed on injured reserve, Draughn was moved up.  Used mostly as a kick returner in 2011 with the Chiefs where he returned 23 kickoffs for a 23.3 yard average.  Then in 2012, Shaun was used more as a running back where he 59 touches for 233 yards and 2 TD’s and 24 receptions for 158 yards.  He was listed as the third string RB at the start of the 2013 season and was released him before the 53 man roster cuts. Signed by the Ravens where he had 4 carries for 2 yards and was released in October of 2013.  He then signed with the Colts during the season and was later released at the end of the season. He signed a one year deal with the Bears during the off season.  He is a depth signing and will be fighting with Ford for that third string position and a spot on special teams.
