It’s been a rough preseason for Chicago Bears second year Pro Bowl guard Kyle Long and it’s about to get rougher. First, he came down with a viral infection that caused him to miss the start of training camp. After missing several days of camp, Long returned to action, but was sidelined again with a minor ankle injury which caused him to miss the Bears preseason opener.
Long returned to practice on Monday, but not before teammate Brandon Marshall captured this video of Long working on some of his dance moves before practice.
It’s a good thing for Jay Cutler, Matt Forte and Marshall that Long is a better blocker than he is a dancer. With the Bears offensive line banged up with a series of injuries, Long will need to step up his game and take it to another level. Brian de la Puente, Jordan Mills and Eben Britton are all sidelined with varying injuries. I’m just hoping that Long’s dancing means that he’s feeling healthy and ready to start rolling for the season.
Long isn’t quite as bad as Peyton Manning, who was “dancing” to Rocky Top Tennessee at practice last month.
In a dance off, who ya got, Long or Manning?
