Well, we made it to our bye week. No major injuries, except CB Charles Tillman. We’ll know more on Lamarr Houston’s sack celebration injury later. Needless to say, it was preventable.

I will be as positive as I can be while writing this.

Being from Chicago, I have been a Bears fan as long as I can remember. Living out of market for many years after leaving at age 17, I didn’t watch most games. That changed in 2005, when I got DirecTV NFL Sunday Ticket. I have watched every game since then. I schedule my life around Bears football and it is not an inconvenience, it is a pleasure.

This has been the most disappointing season by far since ’05.

We have all the pieces in place for success, but it evades us.

Our offense is stacked well enough for two teams of starters, but cannot click.

Our defense can make a goal line stand at one point, and then get beat by an obvious play action pass for 20 yards. Then again. Then again.

Special teams doesn’t even deserve any 0’s or 1’s. That is the 2014 way of saying ink. It refers to data.

Basically this season’s Bears are a super hot girlfriend, but she is so crazy that you can’t take her anywhere. You also have to keep sharp objects and matches away from her. She is everything you have ever wanted, but she needs medication that hasn’t even been invented yet.

Oh, she also has uncontrollable bursts of laughter. Even at funerals.

I digress……………

They should be winning but they are not. Plain and simple.

I think somebody will get fired tomorrow. Or something drastic. We really have nothing to lose.

Bears fans are bumming out for sure. This game didn’t quite hurt as bad as the Bills, Panthers, and Dolphins. Why, because those games were ours and we gave them away.

This one was like we paid for three hours time with our favorite dominatrix, The New England Patriots, but we forgot to go over our “safe” word.

To put all of our team’s problems on Jay Cutler is ludicrous. He is paid very well, and he throws picks at the worst times ever. He’s a little smug and that rubs some people the wrong way. He deserves some of the blame, but not all. 12 teams would take him, and pay him, right now. No doubt.

I am convinced we need a coaching change now. I would have said defensive coordinator, Mel Tucker, needs to go. Now it has spiraled. Mel Tucker and special teams coach, Joe DeCamillas.

Finally, Trestman for keeping Tucker after last year, for terrible play calling that has cost us 5-8 games the last two seasons, and for losing control of the team.

I’m not sure he ever even had it.

Last season I was amazed to see our Bears get up to speed with a “high-powered” offense, that you see in championship caliber teams today.

I was so excited about that, I ignored the sky falling around me.

Our defense went from one of the best to one of the worst. Special Teams took a huge dive this year.

Bears defense almost looked like it was trending upward against Atlanta two weeks ago, then today, they let Tom Brady mark all over his territory with Stetson cologne, while they were busy being curled up in the fetal position.

Can you guys tell I am upset?

I am going to pack my luggage now. I am taking the family to Denver, Colorado for vacation tomorrow and I’m really looking forward to it. If you ever get a chance. It is great. Tons of beautiful places to visit within 2 hours of Denver.

It’s not a coincidence that it is Bears bye week.

That’s the kind of fan I am.

No regrets.

God Bless you all.
