After the beating the Bears took from Tom Brady and the New England Patriots it’s no surprise that fans and the media have come down hard on them, and rightfully so. It was a total collapse by the Bears players and coaching staff, leaving them now with a 3-5 record and third place in the NFC North. Much of the attention was focused on the performance of quarterback Jay Cutler and his inability to lead his team to victory. Now with nine seasons in the league Cutler should be pass the ill advised throws that lead to costly interceptions and lost fumbles due to carelessness while under presser in the pocket. Those who believed in Cutler’s talents and potential have now lost faith. The doubters who said he couldn’t get the job done have proved to be right thus far. Everyone went to Twitter to express their disappointment.
Cutler will enter the bye week with a lot of work to do. The road will get harder as the Bears next matchup will be a prime time game against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Considering Cutler’s past performances against the Packers it is likely that the Bears are staring a 3-6 record right in the face.
What do you all think Bears Nation, can Cutler turn it around and shock everyone with a win against the Packers? Or is the season lost and it’s time to start looking toward next year?
