It’s never too early to start making game by game predictions.  Now that the Chicago Bears schedule has been released, we can look at each game and make our, ahem, expert predictions based on virtually no information, with no account for the Draft, remaining free agents, or injuries for either the Bears or their opponents.  But we charge forward anyway…

Week 1 – September 13 vs Packers

John Fox gets baptized by fire in the Bears – Packers rivalry to open his head coaching career at Soldier Field.  The good news for Bears fans is that Vic Fangio’s defenses have had pretty good success against Aaron Rodgers.  But with the Bears still ironing out the kinks, Rodgers and the Packers prevail. Week 2 – September 20 vs Cardinals

The Bears get another 2014 playoff team to open the season.  It’s another reminder they let Bruce Arians get away when they hired Trestman.  If the Cardinals can stay healthy at quarterback, they can be pretty dangerous with their opportunistic defense. LOSS

Week 3 – September 27 @ Seattle Seahawks

It’s rare to win at Seattle against a Seahawks team that was thisclose to winning back to back Super Bowls.  Vic Fangio has good knowledge of the Seahawks, but they’ve gotten the better of the matchup with his former team, the 49ers the last few years.  The Bears are not ready for this matchup.  LOSS

Week 4 – October 4 vs Raiders

Finally, the Bears get what would seem like a winnable game.  The Raiders are trying to rebuild behind John Fox’s former protege Jack del Rio.  With David Carr at quarterback and Khalil Mack on defense, the Raiders have a couple of solid building blocks, but they’re still looking to put everything together.
