With the draft less than a week away Beargoggleson will continue breaking down a wide range of options for the Chicago Bears in the 2015 draft. We started with the potential first round options, profiled some possible day 2 prospects, and are finishing up with some under the radar day 3 players who I think could be good fits for the Bears new schemes on both sides of the ball. As always, if you have any complaints, advice, or questions please let us know in the comments or on Twitter.

College Career:

JUCO transfer who started the last two seasons at RG for West Virginia. Glowinski excelled at tackle in junior college, but struggled a bit initially after moving inside to guard for the Mountaineers in 2013. Last season Glowinski looked much more comfortable at guard and was one of the best interior lineman in the Big12, earning a 2nd team all-conference award. Glowinski was invited to the East-West Shrine game and dominated there boosting his draft stock considerably.

Strengths:

His strength is his best asset. Glowinski is a workout warrior with a powerful upper body (31 reps of 225), but also has some athletic explosiveness (113″ broad jump). He improved significantly during his two years at West Virginia and was arguably the best interior lineman at the EW Shrine game. Glowinski has better than average feet for a guard and combined with his elite strength give him the potential to be a dominant run blocker while holding his own in pass protection.

Weaknesses:

Glowinski still looks like a tackle in pass pro, he has a tendency to drop back and wait for the defender to engage despite not dealing with speed rushers inside. He needs some technique work on his pass protection, but the skills are there for Glowinski to be a starting NFL guard.

Bears Fit:

New HC John Fox wants to implement a power running game in Chicago and a guy like Glowinski could be a good fit for Fox’s scheme. The Bears don’t necessarily need another guard, but teams can never have enough interior line depth. With the potential move of Pro Bowl guard Kyle Long to tackle, the Bears may be looking to restock at the guard position. Glowinski has starter potential and could be a steal if he lasts to the Bears pick in round 4.

Draft Projection:

Round 3-4
